Division · UoR M&A Group

Mergers & Acquisitions

Founded in April 2025 and part of the Finance Society since August 2026, the M&A Group is Reading’s research group for mergers and acquisitions. It publishes a monthly newsletter, enters national and European case competitions, and hosts senior speakers from investment banking, private equity and venture capital.

Recruiting prep Wall Street Oasis
In August, WSO gave our members a Q&A with founder and CEO Patrick Curtis, an Investment Banking Bootcamp, and a Financial Modelling Bootcamp led by Stan Portnov.
Micro-internships Headstart Global
Eight-week micro-internships with startups. Teams of three or four students take on a live startup brief, at around 5–7 hours a week.
